Over 500 Armenian trucks at Upper Lars checkpoint

ArmInfo. The rescue service  of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports that as of the morning of  December 11, there is a closed road on the territory of the Republic  of Armenia.

In particular, as the source notes, the road leading to Lake Kari and  the high-mountain weather station "Amberd" is closed. Fog is observed  in the Ararat region.

According to information received from the Ministry of Internal  Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry  of Emergency Situations of Russia in North Ossetia, the  Stepantsminda-Lars road is open to all types of vehicles.

Meanwhile, according to a report from the Center for Traffic  Organization of North Ossetia, there are currently 1,275 trucks from  various countries in line to pass through the "Upper Lars"  checkpoint, 505 of which have Armenian license plates. The delays are  due to bad weather, despite the fact that the Gudauri- Kobi section  of the Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open to all types of  vehicles.
