As stated in the explanatory note to the document, the Agreement provides an opportunity to develop and deepen long-term economic relations between the two countries based on equality and mutual benefit in such areas as trade, pharmaceutical industry, tourism, energy, transport and logistics, agriculture and forestry, research and innovation, environmental protection and water management and other areas of cooperation of mutual interest.
The agreement is aimed at developing mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, creating favorable conditions for expanding economic ties, increasing business activity, and using the existing potential. in the field of economic cooperation between the two countries.
The document provides for the development and diversification of mutually beneficial cooperation in all sectors of the economy of mutual interest, as well as the creation of a joint economic intergovernmental commission between Armenia and Hungary for the purpose of coordinating and developing bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
According to statistics, the foreign trade turnover of the Republic of Armenia with Hungary amounted to $23.1 million (an increase of 14.2%). Armenian exports increased by 9.5% to 763.1 thousand, while imports to the Republic of Armenia reached $22.3 million, with an increase of 14.4%.
