ArmInfo.There was a roughly 13% increase in real estate transactions in Armenia in 2024, as stated by Suren Tovmasyan, the head of the Cadastre Committee, at the final press conference on January 7.
In particular, according to him, last year there were 247,926 real estate transactions in Armenia, with 68,946 of them in Yerevan. There was a noticeable increase in both the capital and almost all regions (except for the Armavir region, where it only amounted to 0.3%). In Yerevan, the increase was slightly over 12%, and in the regions, it was slightly under 13%, with Gegharkunik seeing a 15% increase. However, there has been a decline in gift agreements. Tovmasyan mentioned that legislative changes were made earlier, moving gift agreement from the Cadastre Committee to the notaries. Additionally, there has been an increase over the past year, with data on this expected to be published by the end of January.
