ArmInfo. Mayler Mountain Resort plans to invest 12 billion drams in the development of a ski resort in the village of Yegipatrush, Aparan community, Aragatsotn region of Armenia, in 2025. This was reported to the RA Minister of Economy Gevork Papoyan during his visit to the future resort.
According to the press service of the RA Ministry of Economy, about 27 billion drams have already been invested within the framework of the implementation of the investment program of the companies. In total, about 100 billion drams are planned to be invested.
The company took advantage of a number of state support tools, in particular, the exemption from customs duties and the state leasing support program, under which modern equipment was purchased. The sports complex occupies an area of about 2,070 hectares, 600 of which are intended for development. In the 2024-2025 season, the company will already have two ten-seater cable cars, designed and supplied by the world-famous Doppelmayr company, which will allow guests to rise from the starting point of the complex to the highest peak of the complex, at a height of 2,850 meters, from where a beautiful view of the Ararat Valley and Mount Aragats opens up. The length of the ski trails will be 21 km, which correspond to all 4 European levels of difficulty, with their color classification. In total, 17 cable cars are planned to be installed at the resort. The company employs 450 people.
Gevorg Papoyan and members of the Free Economic Zones Commission, accompanied by the Mayler Mountain Resort executives, inspected the complex, monitored the ongoing work, the activities of the entertainment centers and cable car stations, and familiarized themselves with the upcoming programs.
The complex already has 3 restaurant complexes, 3 cable cars, 2 rental halls, an artificial snow system and chalets for overnight stays. Another restaurant and an Olympic-level ice rink will open in the coming days. Several hotel complexes are planned to be built in the near future, including those representing international brands.
The road leading from Egipatrush to the ski resort was built using public funds. The territory of the complex was recognized as a free economic zone in August 2024, and Mayler Mountain Resort LLC was granted the status of the organizer of the free economic zone.
