ArmInfo. In the first 11 months of 2024, Armenia generated 8,455 million kWh of electricity, which is 5.9% higher than the same period of 2023.
According to the RA Statistical Committee, in November alone, electricity generation increased by 16.4% to 893.8 million kWh.
In particular, in January-November 2024, thermal power plants reduced electricity generation by 5.4% per annum to 3,176.1 million kWh. The growth was provided by hydroelectric power plants - by 20.9% to 1,868.4 million kWh and the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant - by 4.5% per annum to 2,495.6 million kWh.
The annual increase in electricity generation by solar power plants was more significant - by 31.8% to 913.8 million kWh. At the same time, wind power plants produced 1.1 million kWh of electricity in the reporting period, with an annual decline of 40.7%.
