ArmInfo. The Upper Lars checkpoint is closed for trucks, customs attache of the Armenian Embassy in Russia Vahan Hakobyan told an ArmInfo correspondent.
"The Cross Pass is closed for trucks in both directions due to heavy snowfall on the Gudauri-Kobi section of the international highway Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Lars," Hakobyan noted.
The road remains open for passenger cars. The Georgian Military Highway is currently the only land route connecting Armenia with Russia (via Georgia).
