ArmInfo. Chairperson of the Tourism Committee of Armenia Lusine Gevorgyan, together with the Ambassador of Armenia to Spain Sos Avetisyan, met with the Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Zurab Pololikashvili.
As reported by the press service of the Committee, the meeting took place within the framework of the participation of the Armenian delegation in the international tourism exhibition Fitur 2025, which was held in Madrid from January 22 to 26.
During the meeting, the parties discussed further actions, cooperation prospects and support programs.
FITUR 2025 brings together tourism professionals from about 184 countries and is one of the world's leading tourism exhibitions.
According to the Tourism Committee, 2.14 million tourists visited Armenia in 2024, which is 7.4% lower than the figure for the previous year.
