ArmInfo. The Tourism Committee of Armenia has initiated a project to establish the Institute of State Guarantees tol protect the interests of tourists, including both RA citizens and foreigners. This was stated by Lusine Gevorgyan, the Chairperson of the Tourism Committee of Armenia, during a press conference on January 29. She noted that the project is currently being discussed with international donors.
Under the proposed the initiative, tourism services providers will be required to have insurance at a minimum. When purchasing a tour package, tourists will be insured by the insurance company ensuring that they are protected in case of tour company's bankruptcy or other unforeseen circumstances.
