
ArmInfo. Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia Mkhitar Hayrapetyan received the Ambassador of Germany to Armenia Claudia Busch.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of bilateral cooperation in the technology sector with the aim of developing the existing potential.
According to the press service of the Ministry of High-Tech Industry, Minister Hayrapetyan presented to the guest in detail the strategic priorities of the relevant department: from high technologies to digitalization, from space technologies to cybersecurity, touched upon the new seven-year program aimed at developing the technology sector and other initiatives.
In the context of deepening mutually beneficial cooperation, the parties pointed out the importance of attracting large transnational companies from Germany and the EU to Armenia, as well as the prospects for cooperation in the field of biotechnology development, in the production of semiconductor components and microelectronics.
The Ambassador presented the work being carried out jointly with Armenia in the direction of digitalization, touched upon the possibilities of cooperation in a number of areas, and expressed readiness to ruin cooperation in order to develop the potential of the technological sector of Armenia, including startups, etc. The parties reached an agreement to expand cooperation and outlined further steps.
