
ArmInfo. Armenia and Iran are discussing the possibilities of improving the mechanisms of mutual administrative assistance in customs and tax matters. This topic became the central one during the meeting of the Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia Eduard Hakobyan with the Ambassador of Iran to Armenia Mehdi Sobhani.
As reported by the press service of the State Revenue Committee, a number of issues of mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting. In particular, they discussed the modernization of the infrastructure of border checkpoints, the full implementation of the electronic data exchange system between the customs authorities of the two countries, as well as the possibilities of applying simplified customs procedures in the Armenian-Iranian direction of border control and the creation of mechanisms for rapid response to issues requiring prompt resolution.
