ArmInfo. The Republican Union of Employers of Armenia (RUEA) is concerned about the illegal actions taken by a group of employees of Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Combine CJSC (ZCMC), which have resulted in the disruption of normal operations at the largest company in the country and the number one taxpayer.
The Union's statement emphasizes that this initiative does not come from the interests of the employees. Iff the strike is declared illegal, according to the relevant article of the Labor Code, the employees involved in the strike will be held jointly and severally liable for the damage caused to the employer. In this regard, the Republican Union of Agricultural Workers urges all protesters to return to their normal work, engage in constructive negotiations, find compromises and not interfere with the activities of their employer company. If negotiations do not lead to an agreement, they may legally initiate a strike.
