ArmInfo. Head of the Tourism Committee Lusine Gevorgyan received the Ambassador of India to Armenia Nilaksha Saha Sinha.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of cooperation between Armenia and India in the tourism sector, current statistics of tourist flows, and air travel. Touching upon visa policy, they considered issues related to the simplification of the visa regime.
According to the press service of the Tourism Committee, an agreement was reached to hold an online meeting between representatives of travel companies, and in the future to organize mutual familiarization visits with the participation of travel bloggers.
According to the Statistics Committee, in January-September 2024, 33,233 tourists from India visited Armenia, which is 53.6% higher than the figure for the previous year.
