ArmInfo. On February 19, RA Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan held a meeting with Regional Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Alkis Drakinos. The meeting was also attended by the head of the EBRD office in Armenia, Georgi Akhalkatsi, the press service of the RA government reported.
As the source notes, welcoming the guests, the Deputy Prime Minister pointed out the important role the EBRD plays in Armenia both in terms of infrastructure reforms and financial market development, as well as improving access to financing for small and medium-sized businesses.
During the meeting, the interlocutors touched upon a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation, including ongoing programs in the field of road construction, water supply systems, and solid waste management. The interlocutors also discussed opportunities for expanding bilateral cooperation.
Earlier, the head of the EBRD representative office in Armenia, Georgiy Akhalkatsi, reported that in 2024 the Bank invested 396 million euros in Armenia, which is the highest level of investment in the entire history of relations.
