As reported by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, Pashinyan stated that this year, cashless payments in Armenia have surpassed cash payments in volume. The discussion also covered the current level, structure, refund mechanisms, principles and main goals of cashless payments, as well as potential financing options.
Throughout the exchange of ideas, several proposals were put forward, including piloting the implementation of a refund system among a new group of beneficiaries. Following this, the Prime Minister instructed the responsible persons to prepare a project focused on stimulation of non-cash payments and implementation of the refund mechanism based on the outcomes of today's discussion.
