
ArmInfo. Deputy Minister of Economy of Armenia Edgar Zakaryan met with Dehghan Dehnavi, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade of Iran and Head of the Trade Promotion Organization. The meeting took place as part of Zakaryan's working visit to Iran to participate in the third international exhibition "Eurasia".
As reported by the press service of the department, the parties discussed the prospects for increasing bilateral trade turnover, investment opportunities, and cooperation in creating joint industrial zones in Armenia.
According to the source, the opening of the "Eurasia" exhibition was also attended by Armenian Ambassador to Iran Grigor Hakobyan. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and several high-ranking officials from the EAEU countries delivered welcoming remarks. It should be noted that according to the RA Statistical Committee, the foreign trade turnover between Armenia and Iran in 2024 amounted to $737.4 million, with an annual growth of 6.5%. Specifically, exports increased by 14.5% to $108.3 million, while imports gew by 5.2% to $629.2 million.
