Armenia`s high-tech companies taking part in Mobile World Congress  2025

ArmInfo.  Armenia is participating for the third time in the Mobile World Congress 2025  (MWC), which is being held from March 3 to 7 in Barcelona.

According to the press service of the Ministry of High-Tech Industry,  this year our country is represented by 17 technology companies, of  which 10 are exhibiting their products, services and innovative  solutions, and 7 are attending MWC as visitors.

According to the source, the event will feature industry conferences,  round tables and panel discussions with high-ranking government  officials, which will provide participants with the opportunity to  establish business contacts with industry representatives and  decision makers.

The exhibition is the leading international event in the field of  mobile technologies and communications, which presents the latest  communications technologies, artificial intelligence solutions, etc.

Last year, the international exhibition in Barcelona was visited by  more than 95,000 people, 2,400 exhibitors presented their products,  1,100 speakers spoke.

It was stated that the main thematic areas in 2025: communications,  software development, gamification, mobile technologies, application  development, information security, mobile applications, communication  technologies, ICT, data collection and processing, the Internet of  things, Internet technologies, Artificial Intelligence (AI), AR / VR  / MR technologies, 5G.

In 2024, the Armenian pavilion was represented by 14 technology  companies.

A few days earlier, the Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia  Mkhitar Hayrapetyan stated that, based on the results of 2024, the  technology sector of Armenia in the IT sector alone (software  development, computer programs, data processing, etc.) closed the  past year with a turnover of 915 billion drams. Taking into account  the high-tech sector, as the minister further noted, the turnover  reached 1.150 trillion drams.  , - the head of the department said.

In the structure of GDP, the technology sector accounted for a share  of 7-8% based on the results of 2024.
