ArmInfo. Russia is playing a growing role as a key partner for Armenia in the field of digital transformation. A similar opinion was expressed on March 25 during a press conference by Alexey Ordin, the digital attache of the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in Armenia, referring to the results achieved over the past year.
He emphasized that in 2024 alone, over 200 Russian companies reached out the Trade Representation seeking new partners and consultations on the Armenian market. The digital attache noted that there is an increase in the consumption of Russian ICT (information and communication technologies) and IS (information security) solutions in Armenia.
Regarding the willingness of Armenian businesses to cooperate in the digital sector, he highlighted the widespread availability of broadband Internet. He stressed the strong development of fintech and the startup ecosystem in Armenia. The digital attache reported that Russian developers are actively involved in the development of banking applications in Armenia. He also pointed out the growing interest in Armenia in AI (artificial intelligence) and highlighted the country's progress in this field. Particularly, he mentioned that Armenian telecom operators are using AI to optimize their radio networks.
