Signing of Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty to have positive effect on  regional economy - research 

ArmInfo. On April 3, the Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs Tsovinar Vardanyan met with the Managing Director at the  Independent Consulting Organization Berlin Economics Ricardo Giucci,  the organization's representative for Armenia, Consultant Dmitry  Chervyakov, the Executive Director of the German Business Association  Meri Navasardyan, and the delegation member Jente Mork.

The Managing Director of the Independent Consulting Organization  Berlin Economics Riccardo Giucci presented the analyses and studies  made on the indicators of the research conducted by the company in  the economic and energy sectors of Armenia, and answered the  questions raised. Presenting the results of the analysis conducted in  the economic sector, Riccardo Giucci, in particular, noted that in  Armenia, the GDP expressed in dollars has doubled over the past 5-6  years. "Here, the GDP per capita is higher than, for example, in  neighbouring Azerbaijan," the speaker noted.

The signing of the Peace Treaty with Azerbaijan was touched upon in  the event of the positive impact of the document on the economy of  our country. According to the presented analysis, the signing of the  Peace Treaty between the two countries will also contribute to direct  trade with Turkiye, the development of tourism between the two  countries, the increase in foreign direct investments in Armenia, and  the reduction of expenses.

Expressing gratitude for the analysis carried out, the Committee  Chair Tsovinar Vardanyan attached importance to the signing of the  Peace Treaty, mentioning that if signed, it will have a positive  impact on the region both in terms of ensuring peace and in economic  terms.
