ArmInfo. The Armenian government, through the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, is planning to provide financial incentives to air lines that operate routes to new destinations that were previously not served. The legislative initiative is posted on the unified portal of draft legal acts e-draft.am.
<Within the framework of this support program, new destinations are defined as settlements outside the Republic of Armenia (with all international airports serving the given city), where the number of flights by an airline in the 12 months before the beneficiary airline's first flight did not exceed 14 during the IATA summer period (from the last Sunday of March to the last Saturday of October) and 10 during the IATA winter period (from the last Sunday of October to the last Saturday of March),> the document says.
To qualify for the program, airlines must be based in Armenian airports, operate flights at least once a week (including those canceled due to force majeure), and have a minimum of two aircraft - either owned or leased.
