
ArmInfo. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission in Armenia, Iva Petrova, who is concluding her mission in the Republic of Armenia. Alexander Tieman, who will serve as the next head of the IMF mission in Armenia, was also present at the meeting.
As reported by the press service of the Prime Minister, Pashinyan emphasized the importance of cooperation with the IMF in contributing the development of the Armenian economy. He noted that in the first quarter of this year, economic activity trends are maintained in Armenia and the government's actions are aimed at ensuring stable economic growth. The interlocutors discussed the results of the 5th review of the program being implemented in cooperation between Armenia and the IMF. In this regard, the parties expressed satisfaction with the results of the program and touched upon further steps. They exchanged views on the financial sector, improvement of the investment climate, promotion of economic activity, overcoming existing risks and some other matters.
