
ArmInfo. On April 8, RA Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan received Iva Petrova, the head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission in Armenia, who is completing her term in the country. Alexander Tieman, who will soon replace Iva Petrova, was also present at the meeting.
As reported by the government press service, Tigran Khachatryan highly appreciated the constructive and effective cooperation with the IMF in recent years to ensure fiscal stability and thanked Iva Petrova for her efforts in this regard. He expressed confidence that the cooperation will continue under Tieman's leadership as well. The meeting also involved discussions on macroeconomic policy and recent economic events. The parties detailed the work carried out to achieve the objectives set under the 5th IMF Stand-By Agreement, including ongoing reforms in the financial sector, improvement in the investment climate, and other significant areas to support economic activity.
