ArmInfo. The quicker the peace process progresses, the more trust the Armenian market will instill in both domestic and foreign businesses. This viewpoint was expressed by the head of the Armenian office of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Don Lambert, during a press conference on April 9. He noted that the government's project "Crossroads of Peace" is important, as it will promote economic integration and long-term economic growth.
"The more integrated Armenia is within the region, the lower the threat of war and the higher the confidence of investors," Lambert said. In this context, he drew an analogy between the government's project and the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC) established after World War II, which became a platform for dialogue among future EU countries. He noted that it was the ECSC that initiated the formation of the European Union, which, as a result, made the war between France and Germany unimaginable. "I hope that this integration will have the same impact on the South Caucasus, and the countries of the region will be more interconnected, leading to a more peaceful development," the head of the Armenian office of ADB emphasized.
