Armenia to join EAEU agreement on cooperation in R&D-related services

As stated in the explanatory note to the document, the draft  agreement was developed by the Eurasian Economic Commission, guided  by Article 68 of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union, signed on  May 29, 2014, according to which the competent authorities of the  EAEU member states assist each other in order to ensure effective  cooperation, and also conclude agreements in order to ensure the  exchange of information. Such cooperation includes the prompt  exchange of information between the competent authorities of the  member states and between the bodies of the Parties participating in  this process.

It is noted that the draft Agreement is aimed at regulating the  administrative interaction of the EAEU member states within the  framework of a single market for services in the field of scientific  research.

The document defines the procedure for issuing permits required for  the implementation of administrative cooperation, as well as the  publication of relevant information, the procedure for filling out a  request required to provide information, and the procedure for  ensuring its further processing in the event of a request.

 

The conclusion of the Agreement will allow individuals and  organizations carrying out scientific and technical activities in the  Republic of Armenia, as necessary, to develop mutually beneficial  cooperation with participants in the single market for services in  the field of scientific and research work, guided henceforth by a  uniform procedure for the exchange of information in the field of  services.

The conclusion of the Agreement will also allow the exchange of  information on permits for the provision of services for the  implementation of scientific research work in accordance with the  requirements established by the Agreement for the relevant request>,  - the document says.
