As reported by the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Economy, the exhibition showcased the latest achievements in such areas as technology, healthcare, sustainable development and urban planning. As part of the exposition, the national pavilion of Armenia presented eight "columns", each of which reflects key aspects of the Armenian identity - from ancient history and creative potential to modern technologies and the desire for peace. In particular, government projects were presented at the stand, including the "Crossroads of Peace", the "Dry Port" in Gyumri, the "Academic City" and the "Engineering City".
In addition, as noted by the Ministry, the favorable investment environment and key tourist destinations of Armenia were demonstrated. The national pavilion also included innovative educational initiatives such as COAF and Armat, as well as a presentation of Armenia's vision for the future of education. In this regard, as noted by the Ministry of Economy, special attention was paid to the international TUMO network, in particular the TUMO Gunma center, which will open in the Japanese city of Takasaki on June 1 and will become an example of the successful export of an educational program developed in Armenia.
During the exhibition, as noted by the Ministry, Papoyan emphasized the importance of Armenia's participation in events of such a scale in order to demonstrate the country's potential and attractiveness in the international arena, as well as open new avenues for cooperation.
According to the source, more than 160 countries and about 28 million visitors took part in the exhibition this year. It is worth noting that Osaka is hosting the World Expo for the second time, 55 years after the previous one, which took place in 1970, and 20 years after the last Japanese Expo, which was held in Aichi Prefecture in 2005.
