As reported by the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as of the morning of April 15, there are closed and difficult-to-pass roads in the republic.
In particular, the road leading from the high-mountain weather station "Amberd" to Lake Kari is closed. The turns of Dilijan are closed for trucks. The bends of Spitak are difficult to pass for trucks with trailers.
The source notes that in various areas of the Gegharkunik and Syuni regions, with the exception of the cities of Kapan and Meghri, on the section of the Saravan-Zanger highway, on the Yerevan-Sevan highway and in the city of Jermuk, it is snowing. In the highlands of the Syunik region, in the bends of Dilijan, in the villages of Zorakan, Akhtanak and on the Berd-Chambarak highway, fog is observed.
According to information received from the Emergency Situations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is closed to all types of vehicles.
