On April 23, the Government of Armenia approved the draft decree of the President of the Republic of Armenia on the approval of the Agreement on the procedure for affixing customs seals and stamps of customs authorities on transport (shipment) and commercial documents by the customs authorities of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
As stated in the explanatory note to the document, the purpose of the Agreement, signed on September 27, 2024, is to ensure effective customs control over the identification of transport (shipment) and commercial documents in order to control the customs value of goods being transported, as well as to establish the procedure for affixing seals and stamps of customs authorities of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States on transport (shipment) and commercial documents at checkpoints across the customs border when transporting goods by road, rail, air, water and mixed traffic.
The Agreement was signed by the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia, the Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the State Customs Service under the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Federal Customs Service (Russian Federation), the Customs Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The Agreement shall enter into force upon expiry of 30 days from the date of receipt by the Depository of the third written notification of the completion by the signatory Parties of the domestic procedures necessary for its entry into force.
