ArmInfo. The four largest telecom operators in Armenia sent 7.5 billion drams to the state treasury in the first quarter of 2025, which is 6.3% less than the figure for the previous year. Of this amount, 94.7 million drams were paid in customs duties, 1.9 billion in direct taxes (including profit tax, income tax) and 3.9 billion in VAT. This is evidenced by data from the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia.
Among the telecom operators, VIVA Armenia took the leading place, moving down from 8th to 14th position in a year, having paid 3.4 billion drams to the state treasury, of which 304 thousand drams were customs duties, 797.3 million drams were direct taxes (including profit tax, income tax), and 1.9 billion drams were VAT.
Next comes Telecom Armenia (TEAM trademark), moving up from 31st to 24th position in a year, having paid 2.3 billion drams to the state treasury, of which 35.1 million drams were customs duties, 521.6 million drams were direct taxes (including profit tax, income tax), and 1 billion drams were VAT.
UCom has dropped from 28th to 47th position in a year, having paid 1.5 billion drams in taxes to the budget, of which 59 million were customs duties, 475.7 million drams in direct taxes (including profit tax, income tax), and 897 million drams in VAT.
GNC Alfa (trademark OVIO) took the 306th position (versus 280th a year earlier), having paid 258.1 million drams in taxes to the state budget, of which 204 thousand drams were customs duties, 176.8 million in direct taxes (including profit tax, income tax), and 35.2 million drams in VAT.
In the first quarter of 2024, the four largest telecom operators reduced payments to the state treasury in the form of taxes by 4.8% per annum, having sent a total of 8 billion drams, of which 50.6 million drams were customs duties, 3.3 billion were direct taxes (including profit tax, income tax) and 2.9 billion were VAT.
