ArmInfo. At the beginning of June, Yerevan will host the wine festival that has already become traditional and beloved over the years - Yerevan Wine Days (YWD). The festival, as usual, will take place on the central streets of the city and will unite winemakers, restaurateurs, musicians, city residents, guests of the capital and tourists on one platform. Wine Days are not only a significant cultural event, but also an important stimulus for the development of tourism in Armenia.
This year, the organizers of the festival will surprise visitors with a new offer. In particular, Yerevan Wine Days has prepared 20 travel routes that combine culture, wine, history and emotions. <We have prepared 20 small tourist maps that will help you choose the desired route for the day and discover the wine and art directions of Yerevan and the regions. The cards include visits to museums where you can get acquainted with the history of Armenian wine, culture and art; wineries to taste the best wines, learn about their production, walk through the vineyards and enjoy dinner right on the spot,> the YWD report says. As a logical continuation of the day, the organizers invite you to visit the Yerevan Wine Days festival. Entrance to the event is free, but those who wish can purchase a <Wine Enjoyment Package>, which includes a branded Yerevan Wine Days glass, 12 coupons, a branded glass case, an information booklet with an event map, a coupon for the main draw, and information about participating wine companies with QR codes.
The 2024 festival became a real holiday, gathering thousands of guests and showing excellent results. In particular, the total turnover of the companies during 3 days amounted to $2.2 million, 42,125 bottles of wine were drunk, the number of visitors reached 120,000, the number of participating wine companies was 77, and a total of 171,140 transactions were carried out. <The festival is not only of great cultural and tourist importance, but also plays a significant role in the development of the Armenian economy.
