In this regard, he noted that at the beginning of 2019, the difference between the minimum consumer basket and the minimum pension was 35,600 drams (61,100 drams - 25,500 drams).
Meanwhile, as Arakelyan noted, by 2025 this difference has increased to 39,800 drams (75,800 drams - 36,000 drams).
"The minimum pension in Armenia should be higher than the minimum consumer basket," Arakelyan emphasized in this regard.
According to the RA Statistical Committee for the third quarter of 2024, the per capita cost of the minimum consumer basket per month was 75.5 thousand drams. Moreover, the cost of the food basket per capita was 40.8 thousand drams.
