ArmInfo. The entry and exit of freight vehicles at the Gogavan-Guguti checkpoint on the Armenian-Georgian border has been temporarily suspended. This was stated in a statement by the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia.
In particular, as the source notes, the suspension of transport traffic on this section of the border is due to damage to the cable on the Georgian side, which led to a disruption in internet communication. For this reason, the State Revenue Committee emphasizes in its statement, the checkpoint will not operate for some time.
"The State Revenue Committee urges entrepreneurs to refrain from organizing the movement of freight vehicles through the Gogavan-Guguti checkpoint until internet communication is restored," the statement says.
