ArmInfo. Chairperson of the Tourism Committee of Armenia Lusine Gevorgyan visited the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where she met with her Qatari counterpart, member of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Haban bin Ahmed Al Thani.
The parties discussed areas for deepening cooperation between Armenia and Qatar in the tourism sector, investment opportunities and mechanisms for stimulating Qatari investments in Armenia.
During the meeting, Lusine Gevorgyan attached importance to the development of bilateral cooperation. She presented the tourism potential of Armenia and invited Qatari entrepreneurs to Armenia to get acquainted with investment opportunities on the spot and to participate in the Tourism Exhibition to be held in Yerevan in November.
It should be noted that according to the RA Statistical Committee, only 297 tourists from Qatar visited Armenia in 2024, which is 30.3% higher than the previous year.
