ArmInfo. According to the results of Q1 2025, Armenia has seen a decrease in the production of all alcoholic beverages produced in the country, except for whiskey and beer. This is evidenced by data from the RA Statistical Committee. Particularly, cognac production experienced a significant shift from a 35.5% growth to a 39.4% decline - to 3.2 million liters. Vodka, liqueur and other alcoholic beverages also declined, going from an 8.1% growth to a 30.7% decline - to 214.2 thousand liters.
Wine production in the country continued to decline at an accelerated rate, going from 21.2% to 36.3%, amounting to 1.4 million liters. However, sparkling wine (champagne) saw a slower decline, going from 34.3% to 23.3%, totaling 225.4 thousand liters. On the other hand, whiskey production in Armenia significantly improved, shifting from a 28.1% decline to a 2.7-fold growth, reaching 625.4 thousand liters. Beer production also showed improvement, changing from a 5% decline to a 3.6% growth, with a volume of 4.4 million liters.
