ArmInfo. Inecobank will receive $15 million under the EBRD Green Economy Financing Facility. The loan will be used to support small businesses and corporate clients in investing in green technologies.
As reported by the EBRD press service, the project is co-financed by the EBRD and the Green Climate Fund (GCF). The EBRD will provide $11.25 million (EUR 10 million), and the GCF - $3.75 million (EUR 3.3 million).
The loan agreement was signed today between Francis Malige, EBRD Executive Director for Financial Institutions, and Hayk Voskanyan, CEO of Inecobank, during the EBRD Annual General Meeting in London.
Since 1992, the EBRD has invested ?2.5 billion in 224 projects in Armenia in the financial, corporate, infrastructure and energy sectors, 84 per cent of which went to the private sector.
