This opinion was expressed by Armen Stepanyan, Director of Sustainable Development at the Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Combine (ZCMC) (CSO - Chief Sustainability Officer) during a panel discussion on the topic of "A Bridge between COP-30 in Brazil and COP-17 in Armenia" within the framework of the Conference on Sustainable Development, held in Yerevan on May 15.
In this vein, he emphasized that the Armenian market is not capable of providing personnel for a modern competitive business, especially in the mining sector. , the representative of ZCMC stated. The responsible mining industry today is forced to go directly to universities to cultivate the necessary specialists within 5-6 years.
Stepanyan also shared the opinion of international industry experts visiting Armenia, who believe that the country has knowledge, but lacks experience.
