ArmInfo. It is important for Armenia to transition towards digital logistics, starting with basic technologies: electronic document management, automation of routine processes, and transport monitoring. According to the official statement from the ATI.SU Freight Exchange, the director of the ATI.SU representative office in Armenia, Sergey Mkrtchyan, expressed a similar opinion. Referring to data from Mordor Intelligence, he highlighted that the global digital logistics market's volume in 2024 was nearly $30 billion and is projected to grow by 16% annually, reaching $63.55 billion by 2029.
Armenia, facing significant limitations in the development of international logistics due to geographic and political factors, according to the head of the Freight Exchange, must focus on automating routine processes, monitoring transport, and implementing electronic document management (EDM) throughout all stages of the logistics process.
Additionally, he noted that Armenian technology companies are now ready to support the digitalization of logistics and transport, as evidenced by the recently signed memorandum of understanding between the local Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE), which brings together 250 IT companies, and the organizers of the e-Logi Fest forum. In conclusion, Mkrtchyan emphasized that the state's presence in the international arena will necessitate a significant transformation of logistics.
