ArmInfo. From January 1 to the present, 2.294 billion drams have been returned to 25,669 citizens of Armenia who filled out a general declaration in the form of social loans. This was written by RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on his Facebook account.
According to him, compared to last Monday, the number of citizens who applied for a social loan has increased by 1,666 people. At the same time, as the head of government noted, the amount of payments has increased by 142 million drams compared to the data from a week ago. The average loan amount received by one person is 89.4 thousand drams.
The social loan in Armenia is a system within which citizens who declare their income can receive a refund of part of the income tax paid on certain amounts spent on education, healthcare, sports and other services. This system, also known as the social expenditure reimbursement system, is part of the universal income declaration programme.
