This statement was made by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on June 4 in parliament during a discussion of the execution of the 2024 state budget using historical data.

Thus, according to him, the revenues of the state treasury of Armenia in 2024 amounted to 2 trillion 579 billion 200 million drams (with the state budget budgeted at 2 trillion 723 billion drams or 25.9% of GDP - ed.). , - he said.

In this regard, he emphasized that in November 2024, an absolute record was recorded for the number of registered jobs - 782,832, which is 192,613 or 32% more than in November 2018 (it was in May 2018 that Pashinyan came to power as a result of the was recorded - the number of income-generating jobs increased to 783,547, which is 242,119 or 44.7% more than in April 2018.

The total salary fund in April of this year, compared to the same  indicator in April 2018 (94 billion 206 million drams), increased by 144 billion (153%) - to 238 billion 975 million drams. , he said.

In addition, Pashinyan continued, if in April 2018 the average salary in the RA was 173,996 drams, then in April 2025 the figure increased to 304,992 drams or by 130 thousand drams (75%). At the same time, cumulative inflation for the same period was 25%.

 

At the same time, Pashinyan admitted that the average salary  indicator is based on the earnings of those who receive 2-3 million drams and those who receive the minimum wage and labor and even less. Against this background, he made, in his words, another "noisy" statement.

"Those who received a competitive education receive high salaries, mainly by 80-90%, and vice versa," the head of the Armenian Cabinet said, pointing out the importance of reforms in the field of education.
