ArmInfo. On June 4, during a discussion in parliament on the execution of the 2024 state budget, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan called for the main financial document to be developed in such a way that it would be called a "happiness budget".
According to the Prime Minister, it is necessary to form an understanding among citizens in Armenia that taxes are needed for the security, well-being and happiness of their family, children, home, property and country.
"We need to understand what we need for happiness, how much we need to pay for this happiness and how we distribute the funds necessary for this happiness.
Nothing happens in Armenia without spending the state budget," Pashinyan said. He once again pointed out that no citizen, no family in the republic spends more on the well-being of family members than the state spends.
Thus, in his opinion, in order to be happy, one must feel a sense of security. To be protected, he noted, means to have a strong police, a judicial system, an army, a National Security Service and diplomacy that can be relied upon.
, he added. In this context, he stressed the importance of introducing Universal Health Insurance (which has been postponed for a year - ed.).
To achieve human happiness, it is important to be a creative person, which cannot be realized without appropriate education. It is also important to have a - to live near parks, recreation areas, have healthy food, lead a healthy lifestyle.
In order to be happy, one must travel, Pashinyan continued. And for this, it is necessary to form appropriate infrastructures. In this vein, he stated that in today's Armenia one can travel inexpensively, and even cheaply, since due to the presence of low-cost airlines, one can buy air tickets for 30-40 euros. , he asked. According to Pashinyan, in different years the state budget in Armenia was called differently - , , etc. , - the head of the Cabinet of Ministers pointed out.
To ensure all of the above, Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the importance of changing the attitude towards the obligation to pay taxes. There will be taxes, you will pay taxes, all this will happen, otherwise - nothing will happen, the RA Prime Minister summarized.
Thus, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan opened parliamentary discussions of the report on the execution of the state budget for 2024, not appealing to figures, but once again appealing to the emotions of citizens.
