Deputy Minister of Economy of Armenia Edgar Zakaryan participated in the 11th meeting of the Industrial Policy Council of the CIS Member States, which was held on June 4 in Dushanbe (Tajikistan). In his speech, Edgar Zakaryan, emphasized the significance of the activities of the Industrial Policy Council of CIS Member States, stating that this platform enables constructive dialogue among countries, exchange of best practices, coordination of approaches to industrial modernization, and the development of a common vision for integrated industrial cooperation.
Zakaryan emphasized that today it is more than important to focus joint efforts on areas such as localization of high-tech production, stimulation of industrial cooperation, development of infrastructure for innovative activities and digital transformation of industries. The greening of production and promotion of sustainable solutions in the industry are also important.
As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy, the meeting focused on exploring opportunities for developing cooperation among CIS member states in industrial policy. Various issues were addressed, including the development of high-tech industry, mining and metallurgy, chemical industry, and mechanical engineering. Participants also shared perspectives on implementing comprehensive measures to boost mechanical engineering and textile industry in CIS member countries.
