ArmInfo. The State Revenue Committee (SRC) of the Republic of Armenia has revealed a case of distortion of tax bases and, accordingly, underestimation of real volumes of activity in the Tsaghkadzor casino.
According to the information of the department, the SRC received operational data that the casino operating in Tsaghkadzor, bypassing the requirements of tax legislation, accepts bets and does not include these transactions in accounting and does not declare them to the tax authority.
In order to clarify the information, comprehensive operational and investigative measures were organized and carried out. Factual data was obtained that the casino understated its sales turnover in the amount of about 4.2 billion drams.
In addition, violations of the requirements established by other legal acts, the observance of which is monitored by the tax authority, were also recorded.
It is noted that, according to preliminary estimates, the casino caused damage to the state in the amount of about 887 million drams.
A criminal case was opened on the grounds of tax evasion on an especially large scale. Searches were conducted in the casino, documents and electronic media relevant to the preliminary investigation were seized.
