ArmInfo. In 2024, Armenia exported 144,540 tons of fresh fruits and vegetables, an increase of 8.4% from 2023. Deputy Minister of Economy of Armenia Arman Khojoyan, who oversees the agricultural sector, announced this while addressing questions from parliament members.
He also highlighted a significant rise in flower exports, which increased 6.6 times to 565 tons. He attributed this growth to many greenhouse farms shifting to flower cultivation and export. Responding to concerns about potato sales, particularly from Gegharkunik producers, Khojoyan mentioned that a total of 337,000 tons of potatoes were produced in 2024, with 14,000 tons exported. He also pointed out that only 1.3 thousand tons of potatoes were exported from Armenia in 2023.
As of 2025, potato exports from Armenia have already amounted to 4,000 tons. Touching upon the export of agricultural products, the deputy minister said that growth was recorded in nearly all production categories, with the exception of dried fruits. According to him, the gross growth in agricultural exports amounted to 14%. Regarding dried fruits, Khojoyan noted that export supplies decreased by 27%. However, there was a 60% increase in value, indicating a focus on premium dried fruits exports. Cognac spirit supplies decreased by 96%, but bottled cognac exports saw a 6% increase in quantity.
