WANO experts get acquainted with production process at Armenian NPP

ArmInfo.  From June 8 to 11, 2025, a preliminary visit of the Corporate Peer Review was held at the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant (ANPP) with the participation of experts from the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO).

As reported by the ANPP press service, during the visit, WANO experts familiarized themselves with the plant's production processes, conducted a number of technical tours, and interviewed the management and representatives of the professional staff. Such meetings and discussions allowed the WANO team to gain a preliminary understanding of the ANPP management system, safety culture, and approaches to  operation.  During the visit, the specialists made observations that will later serve as the basis for preparing for the main peer review.

The preliminary visit is of great importance as the next stage of  cooperation between the Armenian NPP and WANO.

"The Armenian NPP highly values such types of cooperation; they contribute to deepening the safety culture, enhancing organizational performance and ensuring operational excellence in line with international best practices," the statement said.
