Armenian freight carriers face challenges due to Iranian-Israeli  conflict

ArmInfo. During the Iranian-Israeli conflict in the past few days, our economic entities have faced challenges, as stated by  Minister of Economy  Gevorg Papoyan on June 16, while addressing questions from parliamentarians during a meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Economic  Issues.

Specifically, he reported that some  freight  carriers are currently stuck in the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas, and others are stranded on the country's roads.  Regrettably noting that the solution to macroeconomic factors is practically beyond the competence of the Armenian authorities, the minister expressed hope that the conflict between the two countries will soon come to an end.

He also touched upon the situation with Armenian cargo carriers in Georgia. The head of the department reported that  during the day, Georgian colleagues have  promised to call and discuss the slowdown in the passage of Armenian cargo through their territory.
