ArmInfo. Rossotrudnichestvo and South Caucasus Railways CJSC (SCR) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
As reported by the press service of the Russian House in Armenia, the document was signed by the head of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in Armenia Vadim Fefilov and the General Director of SCR Alexey Melnikov.
The ceremony took place at the historic Sanahin station, built in 1899.
"Even despite the difficulties that SCR is facing today, including in terms of investments, we understand that one of our key tasks is humanitarian. This is a mission aimed at maintaining allied and good- neighborly ties. Our contribution may be small, but we try - drop by drop, grain by grain - to do everything possible. And in this sense, cooperation with the Russian House has become a bright page for us. Projects for Victory Day, educational initiatives, the arrival of doctors from the Russian Railways system - all these are important steps that fit well into the general framework of allied relations between Russia and Armenia," said Alexey Melnikov.
And Fefilov noted that this Memorandum did not arise out of nowhere. "This is both the result of the great work already done and a good start to a new stage of our cooperation. Together with SCR, we are implementing a number of flagship projects. This is an informal, but very meaningful partnership in which there is energy, mutual understanding and a desire to do more," he concluded.
