ArmInfo. The RA Food Safety Inspectorate is actively involved in the export of Armenian flowers to Russia in collaboration with its partner, the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of the Russian Federation (Rosselkhoznadzor), as stated in a message from the inspection body.
The department highlighted that they have conducted joint online video surveillance at flower growing sites and greenhouses. Based on the results, decisions regarding the exporting of products from a specific manufacturer to Russia are being made.
"At the moment, we already have 7 organizations that have been permitted to export after a joint inspection control, and activities are ongoing in other farms. In the near future, a group of Rosselkhoznadzor specialists will pay a working visit to Armenia to familiarize themselves with flower greenhouse farms on site and assess the phytosanitary situation," the statement says.
Note that in 2025, 52 million flowers were imported to Russia from Armenia, which is a 50% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
