Armenian NPP connected to country`s power grid ahead of schedule

ArmInfo.  The Armenian Nuclear Power Plant has been connected to the country's unified energy system after scheduled maintenance. This is stated on the ANPP website.

According to the source, on July 13, 2025, at 03:58, the 3rd  turbogenerator of power unit No. 2 of the Armenian NPP was connected  to the unified energy system of the Republic of Armenia a day ahead  of schedule after the completion of scheduled maintenance work in  2025 (PPR-2025).

"The plant is currently operating in normal mode in compliance with  all safety and reliability standards," the report emphasizes.

The ANPP was stopped for PPR from May 15 of this year for a period of  60 days, which is longer than the standard downtime of the plant.  This measure was due to the fact that several more works were added  to the current ones, including the replacement of automation in the  turbine shop, the modernization of generator and transformer  protection systems. The low-voltage emergency shutdown systems of 6  and 0.4 kV were also replaced. It should be noted that the Armenian  NPP produces about a third of the country's electricity at the lowest  tariff. In 2024, the station's output amounted to just over 2.7  billion kWh.
