Cargo Exchange: In Armenia, demand for import cargo transportation  increased by 20%, while export demand decreased by 14%

ArmInfo. In Armenia, there was a 19% year-on-year increase in applications for cargo delivery from other countries in the second quarter, with no change compared to the previous quarter. As a result, in the first half of 2025, demand for import cargo transportation increased by 20% compared to the same period last year, according to data from the ATI.SU Cargo Exchange.   Russia is the leader in the number of applications (+10% in the  second quarter and +14% for the first half of the year compared to  last year's figures). However,  there was a 3% decrease in  applications for transportation from Russia compared to the first  quarter of 2025. Demand for cargo delivery from Belarus, Kazakhstan  and Uzbekistan is also on the rise. Rates for import cargo  transportation have remained consistent  with last year's level.

According to the results of the first half of the year, demand for  export transportation dropped by 14%. In the second quarter, the  situation began to improve: compared to the first quarter of 2025,  the number of applications increased by 35% and average prices for  transportation also rose (+ 10%). As a result, the number of  applications for transportation from Armenia to other countries in  the second quarter reached levels similar to those of last year.   Meanwhile, negative trends continue in the Russian direction with a  19% decrease in demand over the first half of the year and a 6% drop   at the end of the second quarter in annual terms.
