ArmInfo. Russian partners have expressed concern over a sharp increase in flower supplies from Armenia, as stated by RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a press conference on July 16.
According to him, in the first half of 2025, compared to Q1 2023, the volume of flower supplies from Armenia to Russia doubled, and in terms of price, tripled. For this reason, Moscow is concerned about the possibility of re-exporting flowers from countries that have imposed sanctions against Russia. Rosselkhoznadzor has requested information on the origin of the flowers and their producers. In this regard, as Pashinyan assured, the food safety inspection body has agreed to transfer the relevant information. In any case, the Prime Minister believes that the sharp increase in the import of cut flowers from Armenia to the Russian Federation is not due to re-export.
