Li Xinwei: Armenia has potential to increase its presence in the Chinese market

ArmInfo. Armenia has great potential to increase its presence in the Chinese market, as stated by the Ambassador of China to Armenia Li Xinwei during a meeting with the Minister of Economy of Armenia, Gevorg Papoyan. In this regard, he noted that Chinese consumers are interested in Armenian brands,  particularly in such products as cognac, wine and tobacco.

As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Armenia, during the meeting the parties discussed promising areas of cooperation, including the organization of B2B meetings and the possibility of implementing joint projects in such areas as automotive industry, electric vehicles, electric motors and charging infrastructure. Additionally, Papoyan and Xingwei considered the possibility of expanding cooperation in the agricultural sector.

Papoyan expressed hope that thanks to the activities of the new ambassador, the trade and economic cooperation between the two countries will gain new momentum. Papoyan also presented the key guidelines of Armenia's investment policy, noting the presence of favorable conditions created for foreign investors. According to the source, one of the topics of discussion was the Armenian government's Crossroads of Peace project, which, according to the Minister, can become an important platform for both regional and larger-scale economic cooperation.
