ArmInfo. The Armenian government will allocate 3.37 billion drams to continue the construction program for schools and kindergartens. This decision was made at the Cabinet meeting on July 17.
According to RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan, the project is intended to be a part of the general program for constructing and renovating 300 schools and 500 kindergartens. The revised budget for the program shows that the total cost of expenditures in 2025 will be 110 billion drams. The main implementation period of the program is 2026, therefore, work will be carried out on a larger scale and at more sites in 2025-2026, with the lists being regularly updated.
The project includes the allocation of 3.37 billion drams for the program, distributed as follows: construction of schools - 1.3 billion drams, construction of educational complexes - 0.7 billion drams, equipping kindergartens with property - 0.12 billion drams, equipping school laboratories - 0.7 billion drams, and financing the deficit of the credit program supported by the World Bank - 0.55 billion drams. The allocations for providing kindergartens with property are intended for 61 kindergartens, the construction of which will be completed this year.
